Can I still insure my 14 year old dog?
Asked 2 years ago
My dog is pretty old, but we live on a farm and she is very active and healthy with her only needing general vet visits. Nevertheless, I still feel bad about not insuring her just in case anything happens. Is it too late to insure a dog at 14 years old?

Many pet insurance companies have a cut-off age for signing up a dog (typically around eight years old), though others might accept a 14-year-old dog pooch. Just keep in mind that insuring a senior dog will be pricier than insuring a younger pet and that any pre-existing conditions your senior dog has will not be covered.
