Should I suspect foreign body ingestion in my dog if he exhibits unusual lethargy?
Asked 2 years ago
My Siberian husky is quite a handful indoors (which I love), from the screaming to the random bursts of energy when we're playing. He's been unusually quiet and drained of energy lately. I believe he may have ingested something, and I'm concerned that it was harmful.

Lethargy can mean numerous of things, especially with our energetic huskys. I would immediately have your baby seen at the veterinarian for radiographs to check for any possibilities of a foreign body. When you do this, try not to feed him, that way if there is a foreign body, food will not be in the way for the veterinary professionals to see. Also notate any other symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea. Your veterinarians may also recommend blood work to be performed to ensure his internal organs have not been exposed to toxins. I hope he feels better!
