Should I be worried that my cat could die from a tooth infection?

Asked a year ago

My family and I recently relocated to our new residence, and we simply love the farm. My cat, on the other hand, has been acting strangely; he's been drooling a lot and refusing to eat much. When he does, he frequently looks away as if in pain. I believe it is an allergic reaction, particularly because of his tooth.

I would recommend having your cat seen by a veterinarian for a possible teeth cleaning along with dental radiographs. Cats at times can develop different teeth/mouth conditions that can cause irritation of the mouth. Also cats are very curious and will chew on wires causing a injury to the tongue, thus exhibiting similar symptoms. Depending on your veterinarian they may recommend for your baby to be put under anesthesia to evaluate the mouth thoroughly. Your baby will not die; however, if this issue is not taken care of, it can lead to a decrease in his health.
